I know many moms-tobe out there are stressed during first trimester, am not only tensed BUT can't stop worrying how's my beanie doing in there. Although it's too early feeling anything, with off/on spottings and discharge (due to my recently found polyp), I keep wondering if beanie is all safe and sound. SIGH!! Why must we go through first trimester without a drop of sweat??!

On my check-up today, I was given meds for whatever necessary and was told to come back in 4 weeks for next ultrasound (my last scan was last weekend, healthy heartbeat etc). GAH, how am I gonna survive? Sorry for the rant but I so need some inputs and de-stress advices ladies... Btw i'm 8 weeks 1 day today, ONE MORE MONTH til second trimester, gah!

Thanks for your comforting replies ladies! I'm currently trying to not dwell on it or overstress myself unecessarily as told by my doc. Hence been busy doing nausea-less activities/ work. Not helping much but coping fine. I've just bought a large wall calender, X-ing day by day with a smiley face (days without discharge/ spotting that is) ;) edited by MrsEllie on 27/03/2011

I know how you feel, when i was pregnant with DD i had 2 x severe bleeding and was worried sick all the time. You could invest in a doppler to listen to the heartbeat but i have heard that they are quite hard to use and as soon as you feel the first kick you will never use it again. Hang tight it's a little miracle being formed inside you. Watch your diet and take long walks, time will pass.

It's part of being pregnant, I felt the same as you, but after 12 weeks I started to feel a bit better, although still nervous, next week it is my 16 week appointment and I cant wait. I am a bit worried that people say too many ultrasounds are bad but at the same time I feel it is the only way to know the baby is fine, at least till I start feeling him. We should feel lucky, before people didn't have ultrasounds,.....Just be positive that everything is fine.......

I had no scans for my two-and in my case I am rather glad I didn't as the second one was boen with a rare syndrome and I would have spent the whole time worrying-sometimes ignorance is bliss!!! Aslo if I had had frequent scans I would have worried that they just might have caused the deformity-so I guess you just can't win sometimes
