thanke everyone! I'm off to Medcare to inspect it tomrrow and have my first scan with my Obstetrician on thursday morning - eeek! Good luck to you all as well! Just a heads up for when you go to MedCare, they tend to make you wait for an hour or more for your first appointment. No idea why, after my first appointment the longest I've had to wait is 15 mins.

I'm sure your first visit will go well :) I did thought of joining moms&bubs group on EW but I too am working full-time (bummer!) hence could only chat in this forum. Sigh really... But I might re-consider when I'm week 13 on, a more stable trimester I suppose.

Hello and CONGRATS! I too am expecting (8 weeks 2 days today), and is due early Nov :) Would love to share and chat about our first trimesters etc with you! Btw, I had my first 2 scans at Welcare Ibn Battuta clinic but recently changed to another doc, Yamini Dhar located at Welcare Ambulatory Hospital (Knowledge Village). Due to a polyp found at the tip of my cervix, I find her best suited in terms of advice and experience. Cheeries! Hi Mrs Ellie - congrats as well! have you found any good baby groups yet with mums to meet up with? I work full time (boo hiss!) so a little tricky to meet during the week. Prob a bit early yet but will be asking my nurse all about groups etc on Thursday too! x

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Exciting times ahead. :D I think the best thing you can do (while you still have some energy!) is to start visiting any hospitals you would consider for delivery and get a feel for where you might be most comfortable. If you have insurance, maybe make a appointments with a few OB's, including the one at your GP's practice, and 'interview' them as potentials for taking care of you and your unborn little one. You'll quickly work out who you might be able to trust and who just doesn't sit right with you. Your GP can book your first blood tests and scans for you so there may be less urgency than you think. It's a big decision so take some time in making it. Best wishes! x

Hi ladies, I just found out I am expecting a baby towards the end of October/early Nov 2011. Slightly freaked out but mostly very very excited and happy! Can anyone offer advice on a good obstetrician & which hospital to deliver at? My own Doctor's suregery have an obstetrician there who delivers at Medcare. I've only ever heard of friends having babies at the American Hospital - if i went there I would need a different obst/gynae. bit confused by all the choice & need to decide quickly as I need to book in my first scan. eeek! Any advice very welcome! plus - would LOVE to make friends who are expecting a baby around the same time as me! thank you! edited by mojitoqueen on 27/03/2011 edited by mojitoqueen on 27/03/2011
