I went last night to the Chili Crab Festival in Madinat Jumeirah and I wasn´t impressed at all. AED80 for a very small plastic bowl of Chili Crab! Sitting on the floor (stairs of the amphitheatre), plastic spoon, plastic glass, not service... If they are going to charge AED80 for that, at least fill the bowl, but not even that.... We had to go for dinner afterwards because we were so hungry!

Went last year. The atmosphere was fun and the band were pretty good. The food was a let down tho...the chili crab was prepared in a massive pot with a few shreds of crab floating around. They scooped it into the small pre-cleaned crab shells and you got 2 lousy bits of bread to mop it up. The taste wasn't at all authentic either... The noodles were too oily...and cheap noodles too. A complete and utter rip off too! The best chili crab in Dubai is at chimes and it's around 120dhs for a proper mud crab. You can also get pepper crab too. They deliver too. Don't waste your time or money there

We all love chilli crab, but I was put off by the mad voodoo woman in the adverts. Chilli crab is Singaporean! The Hilton Creek does lovely chilli crab. Expensive, but a lovely treat for birthdays.

Total rip-off. I went 3 years ago and was sorely disappointed by the meagre portions and having to pay extra for a tiny spoonful of rice! We all came away feeling hungry.

What restaurant was that SalsB? , I like to have lunch at the Marina Walk usually Cafe Bateel. It was the new Moroccan one, just underneath Trident Marinascape.

I took my mum to a new restaurant at marina walk and they came over with a tray and offered us to choose, we didnt really want anything, but they insisted, both of hardly touched this appetiser and when the bill came I was charged 30dhs each for it. Wont be going back. Bare faced cheek and the best thing was we were the very 1st customer.

Madinat Jumeirah is nice because you can have a beer with your meal but you are right everything is overpriced - tourist prices! However, the Chili Crab festival since it is in the street and it is not a restaurant should have more reasonable prices. I would not have paid more than AED30 for what I had for dinner last night, and they charged AED80. The more I think about it the more stupid I feel!

Went last year and was not impressed. Same issue for me, too expensive, hardly any crab, plastic cutlery, paper plates, messy....!

No worries, it just annoys me a lot when in Dubai they rip you off as if you would be a tourist. We are locals and we cannot be paying tourist prices all the time....
