We are looking to move direction Marina. Unfortunately there are so many building that I have no clue where to start looking. So maybe I can get some insider information. Obviously it should be a nice building with lots of light coming into the apartment and even more important... traffic to and from SZR in the morning and evening can not be too bad (since DH is already driving to AD and that is stressful enough without having to be in traffic).Any tips are really appreciated!

We are in Al Yass, one of the Emaar 6 mentioned by terf. Great marina view, loads of light, very near the Marina Metro & dead easy for getting on & off SZR, even at weekends. We are going home for good (unfortunately)in about 5 weeks so our apartment will be available. If that suits your time frame & you want to email me on avrildubaiathotmaildotcodotuk I can give you more details re what we're paying at the moment & you can come & have a look if you want to. Thank you very much, but current lease only runs out on the 31st of July. But I will look into the building.

I live in Trident Bayside, lovely building, great finish, and have a lovely pool, Jacuzzi, gym and even a Oxygen Bar!!!! Live 200mts from Marina Metro, Spinneys a stone throw walk away, have view of marina and SZR. Unfurnished 2 bed plus maids are about 100,000 per year.

We are in Trident Grand and love it, but there's definitely traffic all around on Thursday and Friday nights. Also, a new construction site across from Le Royal Meridien has just resumed, I expect lots of noise within a few months. FYI :) We live in TGR as well and agree about traffic on the weekends; that aside its a great building and we're very happy here. Beautiful finish, tight security, great views, and can't beat the location. 2br goes from 125-160k.

Have you looked at Trident Grand Residence? All the benefits of JBR (restaurants, coffee shops etc) and right by the beach, but none of the traffic problems! Apartments are brand new, floor to ceiling windows with either marina views or sea views and a great finish (bosch appliances in the kitchen, plasma TV etc etc). Easy to get to SZR. Lovely pool and a tennis court.....happy house hunting! No never heard of it. Definitely sounds good, thanks! 'Happy' house hunting... hmmm.. is there really such a thing?? :)

There are some really nice ones dotted all over really. The Jebel Ali end is slightly cheaper and any of the ones on the SZR side are great for coming off SZR. I'm near to the JLT metro stop (3 mins walk) and there's a bus stop even closer. DH is onto SZR in 2 minutes and there are so many facilities open or opening... mainly supermarkets and yet more beauty salons, but there are als restaurants and cafes and a new hotel is opening next month (been "next month" for the past 2) so more dining options and maybe even a bar! Marina Mall is about 5 mins drive or 15 mins walk.

We are in Mag218 and the access to SZR is great, there is both an on and off ramp within 2mins! The buidling is under a year old and well maintained and we have a minimart opening on the ground floor of the buidling within the month. We are opposite citibank at the Marina and have Spinneys a 5min walk away and carrefour express 10mins away.... and Barasti is across the road ;-) Yip we really like our building hehehe

Try the Emaar 6 buildings. Personally think they're the best.
