Membrane sweep info please
Hi ladies,
I just wanted your experiences with cervical sweeps please. Did you find they worked(or didn't?) If so how long after you had it done did you go into labour? And did you bleed afterwards, if so how much?
I had my sweep done yesterday and in all honesty I did not find that it hurt that much, just felt tugging below. I was still able to talk to the OBGYN as she did it. She did warn me that I should expect bleeding afterwards. Yesterday there was a little bit of brown on the tissue, but nothing actually came out.
Now this morning when I woke up, there was a bloob of blood on my underwear. I thought it may have been the plug. The more I cleaned, the more jelly like stuff was coming out along with blood, at times the blood was red, or brown.
I'm sorry ladies I know this really sounds gross and I feel bad having to share this on a public forum, but I just need your views please. Should I go to the hospital ( I'm not having regular contractions at all, just slight period like pains and aches, my back is tingling a little if that makes sense?) Baby is moving as normal.
If you have had a sweep done before, did you experience this?
BTW I'm 38 weeks today.
