I am flying back to the UK for Christmas with Emirates, does anyone know if I would need a fit to fly letter from doctor? I will be 23 weeks and 26 weeks on way back. Many thanks for any advice.

I flu with Fly Dubai last month when I was 18 weeks and they asked for a medical report. I was showing a bit and I did not have it and I promised the Fly Dubai staff that I was only 18 weeks so finally they let me in. However it was a very stressful experience so I won't do it again. Take your medical certificate and you will be in the safe side!

You need a letter confirming you are fit to fly after 28wks with Emirates for a single pregnancy. You can download the form from their website. It's best to have it as even if you are not asked at check-in, the cabin crew may ask you onboard and they do have to power to offload you. http://www.emirates.com/ae/english/plan_book/essential_information/health_and_travel/before_you_leave.aspx

With my first two, I flew regularly until 34 weeks and never had a fit to fly certificate. It never even came up as an issue. And my first born travelled from Perth Australia to San Francisco when he was 2 weeks old. Thankg Guiness!!
