My baby is 5 months old and I want to buy a mat. I dont know if I should buy the interlocking type or the ones that roll?. What are the advantages/disadvantages of both?. Thank you

I debated the same thing then got the roll up one precisely because it can be rolled away very easily and does not take any time to roll open. For a younger one a rolling one might be preferable as they will not have much interest in making it.

interlocking ones are good (as i have seen in my friends house) her daughter is 2 yr old now and she likes to remove and make it again on her own like a puzzle...although it wd take the space (they have no carpet only the mat) and the rolling mat can be kept away.. <em>edited by manubhadauria on 18/02/2012</em>
