Would love to read couple of books about how to deal with both I know there is no magic solution but just to get an idea and a few tips. TIA

The baby whisperer answers all your questions! Hands down - this book was a life saver ! It offered lots of practical advice e.g when your baby rubs his eyes or pulls at his ears - he is tired so out him to bed ! Then offers practical solutions of how to do that also Another simple to remember tool ... 2 months 2 hourly feeds, 3 months 3 hourly feeds, 4 months four hourly feeds on a EASY routine (EASY meaning when baby wakes up Eat, Activity, Sleep(when you see the sleep sign), then the Y ... you time... or min my case catch up on things time) And Routine - because its a sequence of events - that you and your kids get used to - so everybody knows whats coming My DS is 2years old and DD 4 months - and this time around its so much easier Congratulations btw ...... Routines are like gold .... you like live without them .... but when you have them ... you have a little more value !

Hi I had 2 years 5 months between my first two and didn't use any books - just got on with it! Bfing on demand is great as you don't need to plan ahead - just stick the baby on there whenenver he/she seems hungry and carry on interacting with your toddler (as much as you can) - no need to rush off and prepare a bottle or keep watching the clock. Now I have 3 in total with exactly 5 years between eldest and youngest. Baby is now 3 months old. SO far it's all going well. Again, I don't have a fixed routine (other than getting up early on weekdays for school and nursery). I was a bit worried about how I would cope as I don't have full time help at home, but it's actually been fine. Putting dd1 on the bus to school takes a lot of pressure off, as does having dd2 in nursery just around the corner. Good luck and don't worry, you'll be fine :-)

I had 3 children under 5 with only 15 months between the younger two. It’s not that hard you just have to be organised. I brought a playpen for my 1 year old when I had the 3rd that gave me a bit more freedom to do things like bath and feed the baby without having to watch what the 1 year was doing every second. Buy the Annabel Carmell book cook in bulk and freeze, freeze, freeze it will save you so much time in the long run. Get up early and have a nap in the afternoon with the children. Get them in a routine ASAP and try to stick to it as much as possible. 2nd babies are much easier than the first I’m sure you will be fine, congratulations.

I am doing the Gina Ford routine with a 6 month old and a 25 month old and it is pretty good...some harry times around eating /feeding but with a second pair of hands it is definitely doable. But I have to say the 2 hour nap in the afternoon and both in bed by 7 until 7 is fantastic! It is definitely getting easier now that the little one is 6 months. Can't give you any other suggestions sorry! Good luck and Congratulations!

DH bought me a book by lucy atkins- first time parents. its about newborns and the essential things to buy rather than just splurging on. very nice book. currently reading that and getting myself prepared for the coming arrival :) have you checked at kinokuniya? they do have a decent selection. i remember one about toddlers and new borns but sorry can't remember the author or the title of the book. these pregnancy hormones!! Thanks That reminds me I need to go back to basics and start reading my baby books again I want to order some books about managing toddler and baby on amazon.uk but there are only 2 options - one is Gina Ford so was wondering if any of you can recommend a few more Kinokunyia is tempting but I need to find time to go by myself plus I can read some reviews if anything on Internet Other suggestions?
