Im travelling with my son next month, he'll be 3 months then. Any tips re: flight, what to pack, not to pack, breastfeeding on the plane ... Anything that you seasoned mums can suggest?

Thanks!

Once upon a time ... he he he ... I had similar concerns so thought I would add the link of my thread which I hope helps: http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=149151 Just to add that we have travelled a couple of times to Europe (not UK though) and once to HK/Australia (here we went through a total of 4 airports each way) with water, powder formula, mashed fruit and vegs etc in DS' bag and have never had an issue with it.

I'm hardly one of the seasoned ones :D but here's a few things I did: - Took more than I needed and ended up bringing back a lot. Depending on where you are going decide on things like the pram - if you're going home, try to borrow one because here at the airport emirates gives you strollers with a hygiene cover so its easy to use from 3 months on. We also took a baby carrier which helped hugely. - I took a lot of clothes on board in our hand luggage including an extra set for me and my husband in case of accidents. Oh and lots of wipes please... we ran out after a giant poo incident and they didn't have any. Thankfully we didn't need any after that. - Mothercare has a box sterilizer for 50 AED which helps hugely because you can use it in a microwave for bottles and pump (if you pump/use bottles that is). Also pigeon has sterilizer tablets. - Booked a bassinet in advance. Theres no guarantee but it helps if you have it on your ticket ahead of time. - Airport security very easy in Dubai, noone asks any questions. Not so in some other airports. Some are easy in that they'll let you go without trouble and some want to check everything. - I put baby into a full footed zipper one piece for travel. kept her comfortably warm in the AC and was easy on off. Thats all i can think of... hope that helps
