Hi Mums,

There are hundreds of downloads and was just wondering which ones where popular for this age group? Any ones which are a bi/g hit with your kids?

DD is not a fan of watching TV and i don't encourage it, however if there are any educational programmes which i can download on the iPhone or IPad, please do share!

TIA x

Hiya Plumie! DS2 likes everything that DS1 plays! Lots of rubbish in my iPad but there are a few that he really likes. Fruit Ninja (likes to go shashak every time the fruits are flung in the air!) Toddler alphabet (he likes to listen to the alphabet song and play with the puzzle pieces) Sprinkle junior (likes spraying water on the fire) Play piano Ant smash Color drops A few games from myfirstapp.com (chk the istore for this) for educational things. Shape puzzle (he needs help but he likes it)

I think that's too young for games on the iPad, although maybe that's just my destructo kids! Mine is 2 yo and he is just starting to spend 10 min or so on something on the iPad. We have a Dora coloring app that is really good, we talk about what color goes in and it's easy to touch. We also have Eric carle's app with the butterfly. Very basic, but ok. Either way it's me sitting with him and helping the whole time. If you're looking for 10 min to yourself, I second Pancake and would download content. Mine never got into Little Einsteins, but he likes Dora, the wonderpets and the backyardigans. Although at 2 even my girl could only hold interest for 15-20 min at a time. There's a fb site, google babies with iPads, that often list recommendations. Hope that helps.

My DS loves the Little Einsteins series! Places to go around the world, things to do ... As well he loves Special Agent Oso, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They have educational elements plus whenever he watches (limited time) I sit with him and explain him things, sing the songs, do their dance.. It helps us survive long flights to UK and back :)
