Anouja, I'm not certain the Avent bottles have the same size neck as the Medelas. Any narrow topped bottle should work with the Medela pumps directly. But, if your bottles aren't compatible, it's always possible to pump into a narrow necked bottle that fits the Medela pump and then pour into baby's bottle. What do you mean "Medela is big enough in case if there is 2 much milk?" It's better to buy the bottles like the same brand of bump!!?

Definitely recommend an electric, it will save your sanity. I love & lots of my girlfriends have also been happy with the Medela Swing single pump. I'm currently using it with my second baby (about 1-2 times per day, as well as EBF bubba), and it has never missed a beat! Look at Facebook group "Breastfeeding Q+A Dubai" for more help... Good luck xx

I think there is a hands free one though which looks good, I think I would try that if I bought one again. You can make any pump "hands free". Either purchase or make a hands free pump bra. Simply cut holes where the flanges are in an old sports bra to make one. Medela and other companies make them, as well. Probably would have to order online from abroad for one from Dubai.

hey i have pigeon s silent electric breast pump...its new actually...i thought i had to use breast pump if i wanted to stop breastmilk...after i bought it i found out tht i should NOT pump out the breast milk..so i have put it up for sale at half the price of what i bought,,250..anyone interested?

I would get electric either way, much easier. I had the Philips Avnet twin electric pump it was good. I think there is a hands free one though which looks good, I think I would try that if I bought one again.

I think it also depends on if you are going to exclusively pump or whether you are doing both. I exclusively pumped as mmy dd could not latch on. I found it much easier with a double as I was done in 10-15 mins.

Depends on how frequently you expect to be expressing milk. If you will be returning to work, you most definitely need a double electric. If you are a stay at home mom, a single should be more than sufficient and a manual may suffice.
