Do agents here in Dubai charge a viewing fee to see some of the properties ? Is it legal ?

Tell the company he works for that he wants to charge for viewings, they will soon sort him out...if it's a reputable company.

Suggest you contact the agency in question, tell them what has happened and ask whether it is their company policy. It's possible it is just that one agent trying to scam the company and if you let the company know then it will hopefully prevent other people being ripped off in future.

Do agents here in Dubai charge a viewing fee to see some of the properties ? Is it legal ? That sure is nerve!! So an agent who works for commission is actually attempting to charge the prospective tenant to show them properties? Or... are you saying they wish to charge the owner? Amazing. It's like the wild west in this industry!

No such thing as a viewing fee... some one must be getting desperate and advertising this.

No I have never heard of a viewing fee - they earn their money by the commission they receive which is generally 5% of the yearly rental. Sounds like a bit of a scam.
