Hi Ladies

Our lovely nanny will be leaving us to get married - i just need some advice on the following:

She was in Dubai when she transferred from here previous employer to me. Now that she is leaving Dubai to her fiancee's home country (Qatar) on a ticket that her Fiancee has already paid, should I be paying her the equivalent of her ticket to Philippines, her ticket to Qatar or am I not liable for the ticket all. Just to let you know I have already paid her annual home ticket as well.

TIA

Yes I think you should give her an amount that would have been similar to the home ticket. Her fiancée tried to make a kind gesture and maybe didn't know her employer should pay for the ticket, he would have been better off giving her a gift otherwise.

Without doubt, you should be paying for air fare for her home country. Hopefully you won't begrudge her of this given that you appear to be pleased with her services

You say she's your "lovely nanny" which to me indicaties you were happy with her. So regardless of what you are liable for or not, why not give her the equivalent, if only to give her a nice start in her new life?

If you cancel her visa usually you have to get her a one way ticket to HOME COUNTRY. You need that proof for immigration.

Not sure about this, I could stand corrected tho If she already have her exit ticket then that's it. You don't buy her the one way ticket to home country, just pay her final salary and that's it.
