OMG Shaks thats terrible!! to leave two babies for a whole day!! Apparently there are groups of indonesians living in Satwa doing illegal work. They all squash themselves into accommodation and someone is hiring them obviously! I heard that in Al Ain there's a Pakistani guy who 'steals' maids from their sponsors promising them better wages and has them working as 'part time' cleaners.

a collegue of mine came home once to find the maid gone, the baby (3 month old ) crying in his cot and her 2 years old nowhere to be seen. When the maid left the 2 years old left the flat to go down on the road and a lady from the building took him in her place and informed the watchman. It seems the maid left at around 9am and my collegue got back home after 5pm.

It's terrible to leave the child alone. At that age they are so active and are able to climb on chaire to reach things. I hope this family does not try to put the blame on you guys for wanting to question their maid!! Maybe that's why she ran as she knew she'd be found out for her part in your maid's disappearance.

Jeez Ginnee - I bet they are wishing they had listened to you and given you the opportunity to speak to her - they should have checked her phone and been far more aware of how serious the situation was. It was never ever going to be right - hard hard woman to walk out on a toddler - unforgiveable...... I hope the both of them are found and sent back..... Yes you have to be a hard woman to do that. And if I remember correctly, Ginnee mentioned the sponsor of the cousin did not want to drag her into the mess in case she would be upset and treat their child badly. Well, either way, she has treated their child VERY badly.

yeah im not sure of the details yet, but I find it quite disgusting for her to have left a 2 year old in the house alone. she could not have had any respect for the child or parents to do that, anything could have happened to that child, too dreadful to think about. :(
