I wonder if this is too late hahaha, but something super interesting and trendy at the minute is unsolved case files. I have an extra I got accidentally with the current one I have at the moment; its original price is 113 on amazon but I am selling it for 75. I solved it, and trust me, if you're not doing anything at the moment, bored, feeling lazy, need an activity for ladies night (several ladies nights in a row), or just a hangout; this is your sign to get it. I am new on this app, so I don't know if you can personal message people, but if you're interested, reply back on this comment!

if you're looking for very cheap and friendly (almost disposable) have a look at Day to Day Centre (a discount store with branches in deira, karama, bur dubai, etc.) they sell the more popular board games at 1/10th the price... limited selection though but they always have Monopoly, Ludo, Scrabble, Snakes & Ladders, Chess and UNO edited by HorizonMum2 on 20/11/2014 I was mainly looking for Cludo, Scrabble and Mad Magazine... maybe i can get scrabble from Day to Day Centre at least, if others are only available at expensive places... thanks everyone for the help...this has given me an action route at least... what a lovely forum this is... :D

I've bought quite a few from Borders and Hamley's. Hamley's is a bit pricey but they have a good selection.

You can get a lot of them from most hypermarkets like Geant, Carrefour - they may be cheaper than Magrudy's! i had no idea they were available in hypermarkets ... will check it out there ... want to get them as reasonable as possible as i am also planning to buy some as gifts for my nephews who were pretty excited when i spoke to them about it last they visited... sadly their parents never got them any.. although they do play outdoor games but their idea of indoor games is limited to virtual games only... I've seen them at Carrefour MCC.

You can usually pick them up cheaply at most of the school table top sales. I believe there is one at Jebel Ali School this Friday. I bet you'd find some there. this means convincing DH to drive me there on his precious lazy Friday morning ... i don't drive ... :( ... anyway will give it a try ... r these second hand ones or new? edited by twirl1 on 19/11/2014 edited by twirl1 on 19/11/2014

Don't know about reasonable, but they have board games in Hallmark, slightly cheaper than Hamley's etc... also sometimes in waitrose. I bought the proper old version of RISK there last year.

"Reasonable rates" might be the catch here... they're really expensive in dubai and getting them shipped is also expensive. We got the travel versions of a few kids games, got a scrabble game at brands for less but in a cup, not the traditional one.
