Obviously France has become more discriminating since they welcomed BabyDoc from Haiti! They've a long history of taking in people other countries wouldn't touch with a barge-pole.. As long as they don't wear Burquas?

Great he has gone to Saudi. I was concerned my country ( France) would give him and his family asylum. No they wouldn't let them in! They did try though!

Let's hope that the corrupted regimes in Egypt and Algeria will follow. But the big question is where in Ben Ali??? He's flown into Saudi....

I thought Ben Ali was in Jeddah. In Jordan, there were also protests against rising food prices and high unemployment.

Shocking but has been waiting to happen in North Africa for a long time,Tunsia is the first of many countries in North Africa that could boil over. There are also countries in the Middle East where same could happen any day. Have you seen about Jordan also ? What's happening in Jordan?

nothing shocking. unemployment and increasing food prices. For the nationals of a ME country to stand against their leader, doesn't happen everyday.
