Is it enough that Mubarak has said he will step down in March? or do you think they want him gone now?

Will they continue or has he done enough to appease the people? if he stays, do you really think he will go in March?

I hope that today will be the day. After listening to the VP Omar Suleiman speach last night I am more certain that Mubarak has to go. In his speach he insulted people's intelligence. the VP is the other side of the coin" Mubarak". I don't want to say more........ edited by Gorobattie on 04/02/2011

Finally able to chat with loved ones in Cairo yesterday. Although they cant stand Mubarak they feel if he steps down there will be too many rushing to his seat and it would be beyond a civil war- more than just 2 groups fighting but several. What is the answer? This is not necessarily my view but what do you think?

this in from the Al Jazeera news blog Our producer says there appears to be a security build-up at Tahrir Square, with troops in riot gear standing next to tanks at the outskirts of the square.

Whoever took horses into the middle of all that melee wants whipping. Seeing the violence on TV was bad enough, but people can choose whether to attend the rally or not - the horses had no choice and were terrified. Disgusting. :( I'm glad I didn't see that! Yea I didn t see it either and I am glad

They will never announce anything as the investigation will be done by his cronies. Egypt is so corrupt from top to bottom. My inlaws were in Tahrir on Tuesday and they say it was an amazing experience to see all these people from different ways of life and different religion standing together against the government . They are going back tomorrow for the "day of departure" I do hope it will be peaceful. Judging by the recent escalation of violence, I'm afraid there's a cat's chance in Hades of that happening.

The people don't want anything from Mubarak except his resignation, how is it possible that he will look into making constitutional changes???? I think it's pretty incredible that so many people were gathered together for many days and nights and there was no violence until Mubarak brought in his hired guns, I truly believe that when Mubarak steps down (soon), that peace will continue to prevail over the country while they elect a new leader. If it's found that Mubarak had any hand in these violent riots he should be held accountable in a court of law.

Did anyone hear the poor chap who I think, had come from the UK especially to support the peaceful protests, on the BBC WS? He'd seen someone beaten to death before his very eyes (I'm not sure if I have the facts right as the reception in the car was bad). He was so sad, it was very moving.

It breaks my heart: fights have broken in Tahrir square. People backing Mubarak are attacking protesters and Al Jazera think these are security police in civilian cloth. Oh, also, pro-M people fired teargas... wonder where they got that? The BBC confirmed that some had been paid to cause trouble too. What a mess. Is this just a rouse so that the military can be brought in to quash the uprising? shocking tactics this was my first thought
