With no one to go to,with no family or friends that could help,I turn to you hoping i can be guided...
I have always doubted and making scenarios about husband possibly cheating,I have always ended saying or lying to myself that i was just imagining...
Now i am shaking and shivering and after sleepless nights i can just come and ask you for advice and help. I have noticed my husband's phone bill shows calls to an ex colleague(who he initially hired and then helped her in securing a second job) at times when i am not around ...not many,a couple every month..One on his birthday for long 10 minutes...They appear online on online message software almost at the same time of few minutes apart, including early morning hours when he is supposed to be traveling and she sleeping...Ive met her ,went out once as colleagues,i didn't sense anything...his phones are always password locked,by chance i could see he is deleting the calls to her and has no active chats on although i can clearly see him online or "last seen at"...he goes to gym intensively now, he buys new clothes,he goes out with the guys on weekends...he is either too nice with me or accusing me horribly of cheating myself...we have kids,we are both successful in our work....this all crumbles on me and i don't know if it is my imagination or he is just a cheater...I am dying slowly in the past few days,i can't eat sleep and i fight myself to stay composed....i know i have no chance of going alive through this,he would do anything for his kids and deny and destroy me...he is capable he is and the kids are his everything...I need help please...im desperate and cannot even cry...i want to know..i want to escape...but how would i leave if i do not know for sure..In a divorce here i would stand no chance...where to go,i stayed crying in the rain until a colleague realised something is wrong ,I dont know who can help...who can make light for me...do i go to the police,do i follow him,do i run?..Please help me...i see no options ,and i would die if i loose my kids.

I’ve read all the comments and the op posts.... I am so sorry for what you are going through, and so sorry that you MUST act fast on that! Do not try to contact the women to chat with her, do not confront your husband or even ask for passwords for his phone. You don’t need proof of your own suspicions AND that been confirmed by him try to accuse you of cheating- well he knows himself!- as other posters said: you need to plan your exit! Make everything look natural, get cash, legal papers proof his assets and income, your and your children passports and birth certificates, try to find a job back home, plant to get your children with you out of here then apply for schools in your home country, get any evidence you can get on his affair with that woman with you, and get out of here and battle him from your country. Battling divorce here will get him custody over the children and you need to get permission from him to get the children passports to travel. I am sorry for all that, but after knowing first hand woman were happy here and husbands decided to divorce because he is fed up with spending money or cheating on the wife, how the poor wives battled long trials in family courts and paid dear money to get the children and child support- ok yes they got the lives of their ex husband ruined now- but before that it was h*ll on earth and not a single penny to spare! And lawyers will ask for a start of 50k for the divorce and custody case... Go home and battle him from there, not from here. G

Our generation of men (in general) don't respect the sanctity of family life. It's very sad that many men so casually resort to cheating. The woman involved are either heartless or have been lied to.

Just one question - why you don't ask him? edited by MrsColombo on 26/03/2014 Because this is the UAE, and not all is fair in love, divorce and custody. So true! It's not fair at all. God forbid he switches the tables on her and makes her out to be the one cheating. I might get some flack for saying this, but as an Arab woman I can tell you that Arab men, culturaly speaking (and there's exceptions and yes, this is a generalization) do not like being confronted, questioned, their wives assuming some sort of authority, etc. Of course, their are exceptions, as I said. However, from the little bit OP has described about her fears, it sounds like her husband falls into this generalization. Oh sorry, I wasn't aware that her husband is Arab

Just one question - why you don't ask him? Tell him your thoughts and fears. And how you feel. Why all these "plans" ? Confront him - have a plan what you want him to say. Stay calm and try to avoid crying. Worst case his answer is yes. But it would be a fair way. If the answer is yes. Stay calm and leave the room / house. Maybe it all has a simple explanation and you are making yourself only crazy edited by MrsColombo on 26/03/2014

ask him for the password for his phone. If he tells you it is none of your business, ask him why? you are his wife, what if you need to use his phone because yours is dead...hello...my husband has mine, I have his. Do not call the ex colleague, she will inform your husband and he will want to know why! First of all, you will not die if he is cheating because you have 2 kids that you have to keep yourself together for....make a leaving plan and make sure you have your children s passports and yours. Right now you do not have time for all the anger and hurt, what you do have time for is preparation. Check bank accounts, credit cards. Meet him at the gym. Get a baby sitter and make plans for the weekend with him. Anyway, you get my drift here. You can drive yourself mental looking for evidence and that will take you away emotionally from your children. Pay attention to what he does, talk to him.

Sarahlou, she is his ex colleague, not mine ,therefore i cant realy bump and chat with her..met her once, and visited our house once, while she stayed like a statue and basically said nothing. ..Under my own eyes?I didn't see it so then....Dolleymadison, my heart tells me he is cheating and he is really in love, but my brain tells me i cannot break the roots and life of my children just because i am imagining..Do you see where i am teared apart? It hurts physically and i cant shed a tear .I do not know what to do. Maybe you need to hatch a plan ... have him call someone so his phone gets unlocked, then organize some sort of drama (dog barking, neighbor ringing) and then have a quick look. Otherwise, consider just asking him ... I noticed on the phone bill that you've been talking to XYZ. How is she? What's she doing these days?

Could the kids go spend the upcoming holidays with your parents back home to give you some space to decide what to do? That way, you know if push comes to shove the kids are in Europe. Not at all advocating that you run away with the kids, but them being in Europe should give you peace of mind, if you confront him, that you cannot be kicked out without them.

PIs are not legal. This is an awful situation to be in, I'm sorry I don't have any advise re: getting hard evidence. Try to keep calm if you can. Being that he is Arab (and maybe Muslim), the laws are really in his favor when it comes to custody, granting a divorce, etc. You'd need some very hard proof before you could get things skewed somewhat in your favor. Best I can say is to start documenting things. Some grounds for you to divorce him (although it's still not easy) are physical abuse, him drinking, not providing financial support. Do you know any lawyers? if not, how about contacting the women's shelter and aksing for advice - in my opinion, cheating is a form of sexual abuse due to whatever STDs he's exposing you to. Hopefully you can continue to save your $ and hold onto yours and your children's passports. If you plan to take off, look at the divorce laws wherever it is you plan to go. You may have to establish residency in that new place before you can file.

Me too. All the signs are that he is cheating. Password on phone, going to the gym, similar instant messaging patterns ... I think the OP knows the truth, just wants confirmation.

You can hire one from the UK My friend was married unaccompanied to a guy here and she knew he was messing around She hired a guy from the UK to watch him arrive at Dubai airport after a supposed business trip. Needless to say he came through the airport with the girl he was cheating with. He took pics and it was used in her divorce case in the UK. When they were handed over to him he nearly fainted as he was adamant he hadn't cheated. I am always suspicious of people with passwords on their phone but that's me

Clearly the first thing you need to do is make an exit plan. Whether or not he is cheating, a woman should always have an exit plan. Put money aside, decide where you would go, how long you would stay there, how you would buy the tickets, etc. Then ask yourself, so what? If he is cheating, so what? I can't tell you how many old married men hit on me when I was younger, gave me career advice and then leaned in for the kiss ... ugh, but they weren't planning to leave their wives and you shouldn't be in a rush to leave either. If he is cheating, and you want to leave him, plan for a year and then spring it on him. Don't be in a rush.
