And we can pile everything on the coffee table while we watch The Castle... 'suffer in your jocks' :) 'tell him he's dreamin' :) lol DH and I still say "give 'im a call" when we see something too expensive and "how's the serenity" when a plane goes overhead

I packed all my favourite foods into our container.... be careful about vanilla essence as it contains alcohol too! Some other things I bring with me when I travel back from Australia is Continental Beef Stroganoff mix Gravox GI cordial real Milo (the stuff here is not real milo) IMHO:) bbq sauce Cardinis (of course) Dove tinted moisturiser dd eucalyptus oil LSA Aeroguard I am sure I will think of more :) Cutting and pasting list to send to Mum when she comes in Feb! But what are Cardinis?? ETA: D'oh just read the whole thread ... edited by Embo on 22/01/2011

Red wine vinegar??? Well, there goes my corned beef, LOL. But seriously, does that mean you can't buy vinegar in the shops over there? If so, what do you do for salad dressings? I will be lost without my balsamic! Balsamic is not alcohol. Redwine is :)

OK...I'm starting to get a picture here, and it's not good. LOL. So from some of your posts it sounds like you can bring some food from Oz into the country? Do you reckon I could pack some non-perishables in a box and bring them over in our container? Or would they get confiscated by customs (or worse, we get in trouble for trying to ship them in). I don't think we could live without Cardini's Caesar Dressing {:-( No problem except poppy seeds, anything with alcohol in it eg. red wine vinegar and pork products (although I heard of a British woman who brought back a smoked ham in her hand luggage!) When I come back my suitcase is always full of food :) * EW people is there anything else we are prohibited in bringing in? *

I just bought Fonzies at Union co-op Jumeirah in the chip section, OMG they are the same as Twisties. Made by kraft food company, chicken and cheese, my kids were so excited! Great with a choc Big M.

Sorry ,my mistake she was terrible. Saw Priscilla Queen of the Desert in London and Alf from Home and Away was staring in it We Aussie really do make and do great stuff...don't we!!!! I do think Priscilla is my favorite movie. Who could not love a movie with a line like a c**k in a frock on a rock in it?

I'm sure I can squeeze some in for you, CT. After all, one good Blue Castello turn deserves another. ;) You gorgeous girl :) TBH I haven't eaten burger rings for years but I have asked my husband to find me redskins and choo choo bars for those homesick moments :) Ohhh redskins. Mmmm! I remember how they made one's lips all sticky and slippery at the same time [sounds weird, but true'>. Let me know what you REALLY want if not burger rings and I'll sort it. ;) So far ... I have a long list, starting with a gazillion boxes of Vita-Wheats for me! :D

Spinneys at Uptown Mirdiff has four and twenty pies My son will be very happy about that! if only I had some fountain tomato sauce to go with it.....I do however have a cupboard loaded with masterfoods bbq sause and real milo from Oz! I brought back 2 bottles of Masterfoods BBQ sauce when I was home last :) and don't forget the cardini's ceasar dressing...
