Hi, I am a photographer and one photography package that is a very common gift for new parents are a 12 month photography package. Where you take photographs of the child 4 times the first year. Such as newborn, 3 months, 6 month and 12 months. Every photographer calls these kinds of packages different names but I am sure you can find one in your sisters area that would be convinient for her to go to in England. It will be a memory of a lifetme.

An Ergo baby carrier plus the newborn insert. They now come in a few stylish color combos and prints. She will be able to use it from newborn to age 2 in all situations where a pram would be too bulky. It's also a great way to soothe cranky babies/toddlers in public. Really nice cotton pyjamas. Lush "Dream Cream" body lotion, can be used on mom and on newborn's bottom :0)

I really loved the mama-mio stuff, easy for you too. You can order and deliever within the UK. Is she near London at all? because I really recommend 'the sanctuary' spa in Covent Garden. Its young, hip, relaxing and you leave feeling out of this world.

How about a kit that you use to take a print of the hands and feet of the new baby I've seen gift packed kits.

babysouk.com and luxelittle.com has some lovely gift ideas - I really love the hug-a-bub baby carrier that my SIL bought from luxe for me. Otherwise, I'd second the pampering idea - exactly what a new mummy needs

There's a shop in one of the small Jumeirah malls, I think it's called 'Baby Bling', sell some really cool and unusual gifts for babies.
