I am not sure if this is relevant to anyone on here but I took DS to the Kidspark Zoo between AD and Dubai on the weekend and in there was the most beautiful persian cats all held up in little cubby holes for viewing. One had kittens that couldn't have been more than a few days old. There was at least 6 beautiful cats...some looked himalayan and were definitely persians. I really thought it was horrible that they were there on display like that when they were clearly house pets. Maybe worth having a look if you are missing your cat...

claire, go back to Municipality and ask to see both rooms with cats. Do not just show the picture, tell them you want to see the cats in both rooms!!!!

I keep checking the website here hoping to see some good news. I really feel very sorry for you Claire and I can imagine how you are not able to sleep at night thinking that you must keep going outside trying to find her. Why don't you put many many bowls of food outside, near the main door and in the garden. Cats keep coming to my house because of the food's smell, maybe that will attract her back if she is close?

Hi Claire, I'm in motor city so will have a good walk round tonight and see if I can see Millie anywhere. Would it maybe be worth getting some of your friends over to search your villa, kind of a fresh pair of eyes approach who might look in places you've not thought of (even tho I am sure you've turned the place inside out). Also as well, in your kitchen do you have one of those tiled roofs where the tiles are removable (usually because there is an air con unit above it). The first night we moved into our MC apartment one of my cats somehow managed to pop his head and then his whole body thru there into the space above and the tile just popped back into place as he went up and we were woken up by his sister going mad and we could hear him running around above us at 4am!

Oh I feel so bad for you Clairehdp. I remember how worried I was when the street cats we feed daily would go away for a bit (or when a big storm hit)...it must be that much more if it's actually your own pet! Hoping for the best!

No news - was out in the garden at 3 am and had a little stroll down the road in the hope that she might hear me in the quiet of the night but nothing.......missing her so much. Hope that if people see her poster with her picture on that they will contact me if they see her and we can get her back - I am really missing my purry cuddles. Here's hoping that today is the day she comes home..... Fingers crossed for you! I know the feeling......

Don't lose hope, my beloved Siamese disappeared for three weeks, no idea what happened, we'd assumed that he'd either been stolen, or was dead........he had never been out of earshot till the day he vanished. When he was found three weeks later, he had obviously been living rough, v emaciated, but alive. He's sitting on my lap now. right next to Scraps........who a few days after Ruffie's disapearance, went to sleep in a neighbours open top car..... and jumped out in panic miles away. Four months later, thanks to a miracle and the power of EW.........we got him back safe and sound. Given that Ruffie's idea of hardship is cheap tuna from the can, as opposed to the real thing, and poor Scraps has only one braincell, and frequently forgets where he left it..........and is terrified of his own shadow, how either of them survived for five minutes, I will never know.........but miracles do happen. Keeping everything crossed for you and Millie and sending a huge cyberhug, I know what you are going thru.

Could she have crossed the road to Alvorada? I have no idea - I have friends there who have their eyes peeled. That will be my focus tomorrow morning but every villa in La coleccion now has a picture and my number......everyone has a story to tell about their cats going missing - I just hope I'm as lucky and she toddles back home.......we are really really missing her.

Lets hope she is having a great time chasing all those golf balls around, hope you find her soon. Good thinking - we are close to the golf course and we did wander over there last night in the quiet - will call the golf club and pop a picture in later. Just back from school run and back out with leaflets, biscuits and calling.....

Claire, get some stinky food out there...... can you leave a sliding door slightly open so she can get in the house if you are out? Perhaps you can wedge a pole in the sliding bit, so no one can get in, just a few inches for her to slide through?

Sorry to read this clairehdp. We also live in AR and both of our cats at one time or another have hid underneath the sink. Not sure if your villa is the same but, we have a built in sink and toilet and they have got up inside there and I actually could not get one of them out for a good six hours. I only found her by shining a torch into the space that reflected in her eyes as she was sick and did not meow! Just a thought and might be worth a check. I would also agree with the posters that have mentioned offering rewards as that has worked for us in the past. Good luck to you.
