We have been told that we don't need to put salt in our dishwasher as the water in Dubai is quite salty already.

Is this true? Do you put salt in your dishwashers??

I don't, as have been told there is no need to but I do use rinse aid. We're told that tablets are bad for the dishwasher but i still use them while searching for rinse aid, may i ask you Amelia where do you get the rinse aid from?! Thanks From Carrefour Thanks pepito

We have never used salt in our dishwasher here (have had it for over 2 years) and no problem either.

I stopped using salt when my stainless steel cutlery started to rust. Not used salt for about 2 years and it seems to be fine without.
