Hello,

Unfortunately, I have strawberry legs. For those who don't know what this is, click here: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-eWjeac1U3kA/UgPuCgHNlnI/AAAAAAAAAcY/J6XlNLP9Ix...

I hope the image helped in understanding what I have on my legs. Is there a way to get rid of this for good? Please help! I'm quite desperate to get rid of them and have smooth shiny legs, instead of bumpy spotty ones.

Thanks so much :)

PS: Don't worry, I don't shave my legs, I wax them regularly using fruit wax at the salon :)

I could spend hours on digging out in growns with plucker. Did laser about 3 yrs ago. And now it's like I never had strawberry legs. The results shoes within 6 months. Hello schuggah, Thanks for your helpful response - that must be so wonderful. So, laser seems to have worked for you, I take it. I will consult my dermatologist and keep everyone posted about my findings. I am quite keen on taking any treatment that doesn't have side effects; I'm tired of having bumpy legs and thighs.

Hmmmn, well from the picture they just look like normal legs... Is it folliculitis? Exfoliate exfoliate. It is the key. Or laser, if you have dark hair on your legs. Also, if that's the case and you shave your legs, you might have finer regrowth if you wax instead. Edit - just saw your comment about waxing. Laser might be the way to go. Hi littlepenguin, here's another link to show you what I've got: http://newsbeat.co.ke/how-to-get-rid-of-strawberry-legs-home-remedies-to-cure-dark-pores/ Thanks for your response :) They're bumpy and I feel like it's ingrown hair. Do you think I should consult a dermatologist and confirm if laser will cure this? They aren't smooth and spotless, I feel like it's ingrown hair. Yeah I would be inclined to consult a derm. I did a bit more reading and it does seem to be related to rapidly growing ingrown hairs. My experience with laser was that it really reduced the density of my hair (I had many follicles that grew two hairs) and made it much sparser and the hair itself finer. As a result I have far fewer issues with ingrowns. Getting a dermatologist to take a look is a good idea also because if it is something like folliculitis then they can give you some medicated creams that will help with the inflammation (or a medical grade exfoliant). Good luck :)

Have you been using fruit wax a long time? I started fruit wax but it made my skin irritated and I would get spots after, it was recommended to me to stick to normal sugar wax. The fruit waxes contain added chemicals, it could be over time it has caused these spots for you. Also go for regular Moroccan baths, groupon usually has good deals. Hey sourskittleashnut, thank you for your response! I feel it's ingrown hair, because it's bumpy and not just discolouration. I've been using fruit wax for about a year. That's a great idea, I think regular exfoliation and Moroccan baths are good ideas to combat this, even after I get a permanent solution (like, laser, maybe). Thanks again :)
