What sort of price range are you looking for? We always buy cakes from the Ramada Hotel in bur Dubai, and they make lovely vlack forest cakes, white forest....lots of others too. They are reliable and you can usually get something of a decent size for between 150 - 190 Dh. They taste nice, not too sweet. here it is...one more hidden gem besides home only :) i recenlty searched quite alot fo dh's birthday cake....got one from bakemart in karama for 75 dhs (1 kg) it was fine. not too good but that might be due to higher temperature of my refrigerator. their choclate ganache is very good but steer cleer of mango mousse so very sweet and artificial ( not fresh mangoes) if nothing then last moment buy is always red velvet cupcake from bloomingdales :)

We have bought birthday cakes from various places but end up going back to ChaCoa which is near the MOE. Their chocolate cake is fantastic, guaranteed quality every time and, compared to what some of the home bakers charge, I don't think they are expensive. We recently had one made by a lady working from home. It was very disappointing and not worth the 800 dh. price tag so have now decided that in future it will be ChoCoa.

If it's for a child's party you can also go somewhere like Mister Baker in Karama - they are demolished within 5 minutes anyway ;)

They are all ridiculously expensive. Most of the cake makers in dubai operate from hoe, so not much overhead either but still sky high prices!

We used park n shop and got the cakes half choc half vanilla and they were delicious. There icing is VERY sweet but the cake itself is moist and tasty!

They are all high unfortunately. However Park and Shop bakery in Jumeira 3 does really tasty cakes and its a lot more affordable than some other bakeries. They do custom cakes as well on request.
