Hi Ladies,
I'm 7 weeks with my 1st and for the past 1 week i have been feeling like i'm being hit by a bus every single morning, im off the food, been sick already, but its not too bad as i drink lots of ginger tea and eat ginger crackers which are helping..the worse is the pain...shoulders, legs, back, head...everything!! Will everything hurt until im 12-14 weeks? I just want to lay in bed all day...have no energy to even get up for 30 mins...and i WORK FULL TIME which is killing me now.....
Is there anything i can do to make all this pain go away??
TIA
PS.. not many articles online mention pain, its mainly about morning sickness... :(

oh gosh i really feel for you! i was recently telling my mom how wonderful my pregnancy was, and she replied "because you laid in bed all day and sat around eating whenever you got up!" i don't think i would have been able for work especially the first trimester. It was awful. Some days i didnt get out of bed at all and i never even had vomiting. i really hope you feel better. Should start feeling good about week 14 inshAllah

Sending loads of positive energy to all going through initial stages of pregnancy. My baby boy is 8 months old now but not a single day passes by when I cant reflect about the nightmarish first few months I had... but it all settles down by week 20.... all symptoms of mine just waned off to the point that in my working career of 15 yrs....my lowest sick rate was during my pregnancy! Week 8 till 12 were the toughest with feeling of morning sickness through the day...with barf bags tucked in every corner at home, work, car..... Severe acidity...lived on Perrier water and active for a month.... But post 12 weeks...all symptoms just stopped! and then the pregnancy glow came around...best skin, best hair....no mood swings... just hang in there ladies...best is around the corner....

Thank you Ladies, I hope you all are feeling a little better. Im 8 weeks now, and have to say after the horrible 1st 10 days it now got a lot better, i'm still a little sick in the morning but not so much during the day, have to say being tired is the main issue at the moment, i start work at 7am and by 10am i already feel like i have been working 9 hrs and ready to go home. By 5:30pm (when i finish work) all i can think of is BED!!! Never felt so tired.... :(

Yes, I went through the same thing, fortunately I was in a position to take time off work. It got easier as time went by, I think but 16 weeks or so I had more energy and less aches. Until about 8 months or so, then they start again from the sheer weight you're carrying. At least by then you know it's coming to an end soon. I can only imagine how tired you are having to work. Hopefully it wont be long and you'll be feeling better.

Hello Ladies, ooooooh I sooo relate. I am 16 weeks pregnant and I spent the first trimester hoping for death. Horrible nausea and a migraine headache that lasted more than 2 months. Non-stop. I seriously didn't think I could handle it anymore. I Googled remedies and saw acupuncture. I was so desperate. Called Dr.Martine at Synergy Clinic in Jumeirah and she stopped my headache on the first consultation. I had my second consultation and my nausea is gone. I can't explain why it works, I have no idea, but I don't really care! If you were suffering as badly as I was I would recommend seeing her. Xx

Hello ladies, just wanted to say I can totally relate and I wish you all will feel better soon. Just a note of caution, speaking from personal experience; if you continue to have nausea and especially if you have vomiting past 16 weeks it could be an indication of something else, most likely a small stomach ulcer or something caused by so many weeks of feeling sick. I had nausea and vomiting till 18w and I mean deaily vomiting, some times 2 or 3 times a day, so at 17 weeks my Dr prescribed an antivomiting med (don't recall the name) which did prevent me from vomiting but I was feeling just as bad. At 18w I saw the Dr who eventually delivered DD as I was back in my home country for a vacation and he suggested the stomach condition theory as a side effect from the extended period of nausea and vomiting. He stopped my other prescription and told me to try antacids for 2-3 days and see if I noticed a difference. By the second day I was fine and felt like my life was back:-) Just bear in mind in case you find yourselves in a similar situation.

Hi Kristina, I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my first, and although I am yet to be physically sick, the thought of all food makes me queasy. My Husband was talking about doing roast chicken tonight and I could heave at the thought! I normally love roast chicken! I also work full time, and last week I had my Sister out to visit. So eating out most nights and getting in after 10pm, I could barely keep my eyes open by the end of the week. It made me so moody I must have been terrible company. Luckily the only aching I've had is in my lower back after sitting at my desk all day, but I'll tell you what drives me insane... the constant need to pee!!! I'm up and down from my desk every 30mins!

I also feel your pain, I work full time and start super early at 7am, and by the afternoon I'm exhausted. If I last until 9pm at night I consider that to be good! I'm 14+ weeks now and the last few months have been dreadful for me. I have eaten the blandest of bland food (potato waffles for WEEKS on end as it is all I have been able to stomach!) I'm still waiting for it to pass but it just hasn't yet, I'm hoping to turn the corner really soon. All I can say is sleep as much as you need to and eat whatever you can stomach. My doc said there is no harm in not having a totally balanced diet at this stage just eat and drink whatever you can manage. :)
