if anything, just leave it alone. It's not really acne, just a rash that lots and lots of babies get as their skin gets used to the air and harshness of our environment. Try and let it find its own balance without too much washing and without smearing it with lotions and potions (which are often petro-chemicals, after all!). If it gets really dry, then dab some olive oil on to help, but if it gets really angry-red and/or starts weeping, take bubs to the Dr.

My little one has a mild version of this. I have used loads of creams and things and found nothing made it worse, but nothing improved it either. I just use water to wash her with and rub a bit of E45 in when it is dry. Doctor said as her skin matures and she stops teething it will improve. I'm hoping so anyway

It's actually advised that too much washing can irritate the skin when it's inflamed. Best to leave it alone as it's usually not at all uncomfortable for the baby. I found using a little Mustela Milky Bath Oil (in most pharmacies) in the bath water and gently running that over the face at bath time helped. Certainly don't rub it or apply any oily creams. It will heal in time. If it looks 'hot' or sore, best to see your GP or paed. :)

That's very common.. wash LOs face using cotton pad and warm water daily... it'll get better... :)
