Breastfeeding Q&A are resuming their 3rd Saturday of the month meeting at the Organic Cafe; this slot passed to La Leche League for a while, but now that Cathryn the LLL Leader is sadly leaving Dubai, Breastfeeding Q&A will be picking it up again. Meetings will be facilitated by a registered breastfeeding counsellor. Ilovewine, the contact details for IBCLCs who can do home visits are in the original post; now that it has got a bit buried, I've started a new thread and copied/updated the details there.

Bumping for the new and expectant mums. Note that Breastfeeding Q&A will be running the ABM (Association of Breastfeeding Mothers) ante-natal breastfeeding workshop in Dubai in January (date and exact location tbc). This might be a good opportunity to learn the basics of breastfeeding (or as a refresher) and discuss any questions you may have with a Breastfeeding Counsellor. Pls see their FB page for more info or to be kept updated.

Can I just let you ladies out there know that I met with Dr Delphine Dupuis yesterday and was very impressed with her knowledge, manner and expertise. She spent well over an hour watching DD (3 months) feed and checking her for tongue tie and talking about her feeding issues. She was really balanced and provided lots of very good information. Tongue tie is something different practitioners in different fields, and in different countries feel differently about and she was very forthcoming with pros and cons of taking action. I'm donating milk and she gave me a lot of information on how this was affecting my milk supply and composition, and also some suggestions on how to manage producing so much milk. This is my third child and I've BF'd successfully with each of them but really felt this visit was worthwhile and I found I learnt alot! Thanks for the recommendation BFC.
