I made a tea of about 8 cummin seeds and dried fenugreek leaves and drank it 3 times a day. It was my grandmother's home remedy and it totally worked for me.
Thank you BFC - I will drop you line.
Cleo4e, may I ask what are your home remedies? :) Not sure I want to wait for the 'more milk please' tea to be (if) delivered.
Thx!
I personally had a difficult time breastfeeding with my now 4 month old . Unfortunately, I had to stop breast-feeding about a month ago but initially my milk supply was very low. I did try some home remedies that did seem to work magic in increasing my milk supply. I also, I can't say enough good things about a Tea I drank called 'more milk please' that I ordered from www.thespoiledmama.com. I'm not sure if they would ship to Dubai, but I stand by their products! They did wonders!
Hello twin butterfly
I'm sorry to hear things are not going so well with respect to the formula :(.
It is absolutely not too late to try to breastfeed! It may need some creativity and patience, though, but mums with babies younger than 3-4 months (as yours is) tend to have more success. You would also need to be aware that (depending on how completely lactation was established initially) it might be very difficult to establish a full supply; however, if you are looking at increasing your supply so that your little one gets a higher proportion of mama's milk, then go for it! Many mums have been very successful at increasing their supply so that their babies can get more breastmilk, or have some feedings at the breast.
If you would like to "chat" about this further, then please feel free to e-mail me on khoury at null dot net. I can make some suggestions and point you to some resources which you might find helpful. I would also suggest you make an appointment with an IBCLC with experience in induced or relactation. You might find this page helpful as you consider your options: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/relactation.html . Finally, I bet the other mums on here may be a great source of support and suggestions; maybe you'd like to start a thread specifically for this.

Thanks BFC! This will come in very handy now that I have decided to try and bring my milk back and breastfeed. DS is now almost 9-weeks and has only had little breast milk through expressing as I was a bit worried he would not drink enough (was born pre-term, had jaundice and would never finish his bottle feeds at the hospital + when we brought him home he took a while to have proper feeds), with the rest being numerous formulas. After a hectic month of house-move + 2-week trip home to meet his grandparents, my milk has almost disappeared as was not consistent at expressing.
Now that he is on his 6th type/brand of formula, I am very determined to give him more of breast milk as he does not take the commercial brands well at all (always throws up, wriggles, etc so has a very difficult digestion).
Is it too late to try and breastfeed? At the moment have only managed to get 60 ml a day through 2 expressing sessions (started expressing again just before the weekend).
TIA!
I have included information I am aware of which I believe or have confirmed to be current.
Please add to the list, and help bf families get the help and support they deserve.
