Is there anything I can do to help him get out of this stage? The sleep deprivation is worse than when he was newborn!

DS is 3 months and is almost at that stage now. He can get onto his side but not right over. My sister sent me a Safe T Sleep which we use over top of his sleeping bag. Puts my mind at rest! www.safetsleep.com Great idea! If your sis is from UK, do you mind sharing from where she got one? According to their website there's no stockist in UK anymore. TIA! We're from NZ, so she sent one up from there. I think you can order from Australia maybe? Will try that. Thanks!

If you want a sleep positioner... I've got one you're welcome to use. What I'd suggest though is putting him in a sleeping bag. Worked with both my boys.

i was just thinking about what i posted earlier, and thought," just listen to your intuition," my heart said its alright and the mix of that and my midwife eased my fears, plus while i wasn't sleeping i did a lot of online reading. if you feel this is a problem maybe you should talk to a specialist who can ease your mind on this topic... losing any more sleep than the normal new mom loses can be such a rough situation... i feel your pain.

you all may think i am crazy, and i though ti was at first. but since my baby was born she wouldn't sleep on her back its probbly cause when i was nursing her in the beginning she always fell asleep on my chest, i lost sooo much sleep from that but in the end my midwife said not to worry. and i trusted her. i know the whole sids thing is sooo scary, but the lack of tummy time and tummy sleeping as made it so that babies aren't learning to roll till like 5 months, and the fact that your baby is rolling at 3 is fantastic, and the good thing is that your baby probably now is able to move his wonderful head is he is uncomfortable or not getting enough air. my daughter is now 4 months and is moving all over her crib in her sleep, i was even scared to get bumpers, but i had to since she started scooting her head into the rails.... uggghhh this stuff can get so freaky!!!

Velcro on his sleepsuit??? yep, I did the rolled up covered towel thing too but probably frowned on now! Used them with both of mine. :)

I'm sure I've read that those wedge things either side may not be the best thing as they can pose a suffocation risk but then I'm so sleep-deprived I could have dreamt that. I'll try to find some evidence if I get a second. DS did this, right after we finally managed to get him back on track after a visit to the UK. Hs doctor recommended as much tummy time as possible so he developed the ability to roll back, and it worked. I can't remember how long it took but not too long. Good luck! I know how awful endless broken sleep is.

This is another chapter that will pass ...and another one will come. When my DS did this I used to sit on the side of the bed next to his cot while he was asleep and just make sure he can still breathe. (sigh)I didn't really sleep for 4-5 nights and took turns with my DH. As soon as his neck support was good enough for him to move his head on the side and not have his nose and mouth on the bed I knew he was ok and went back to sleep. I didn't find any other solution to the problem those days. The good news is now at 7 1/2 months I got my 4th consecutive full night sleep. So there is hope!!!! Hang on there.

You can try some sleep positioner like this one. Maybe that helps. http://www.idealbaby.com/The-First-Years-Sleep-Positioner-Airflow-_p_1974.html

those triangular pillows (wedge like) can be put on each side of him, so he cannot turn over, or if he does he will be tilted.
