I was not aware the 'show' can happen days before the main event.
... or it can happen as you're pushing!
Especially 2nd time around, because our pelvic floors are what they are, bubs can bob up and down far more, right up until the end. I think I was about 3/5 engaged when I was having my 2nd sweep and was 2cm dilated.
Thanks Green-ish. I was not aware the 'show' can happen days before the main event. I have an appointment with my doc tomorrow morning so will try not to go into a panic before then. Unless, of course, I'm in pain.
Thanks srdoucet. I'm hoping it can happen soon, but quite honestly, not this week.
I agree with Green-ish best to go to the dr just to be on the safe side. And to make sure that the baby is in the right position.
Both my boys were very active until the labour got more intense but they were also both early.
Sending positive thoughts on a healthy delivery.... when it happens :)
.....even if your baby has not yet dropped?
Yes...best to see your Dr if you're not sure.
ETA - Ah, if baby is still moving as normal, then possibly not. They tend to go a tad quiet before the main event. :) The 'show' can happen days before true labour sets in. Maybe try to find a few minutes to sit somewhere quiet and really focus on your body and what it's doing. If you can still yourself for a while you'll get a better feeling of what's going on.

I've been having my braxton hicks since quite early on so I'm used ot that, though the frequencyhas increased considerably the past few days. Feeling PMS-like symptoms, just came from the loo and may have had what looks like the show, not very sure. (I hope that's not tmi). Baby is still moving around, as usual.
