Hi TubeStrike! x Dubai 71 - glad to hear the transfer went well, I bet it was amazing seeing them on screen. My scan went really well - 15 follicles and all around 10-14 so a few more days for me and an increase in meds. Think my egg retrieval will be on Thurs if all goes well. Sorry to hear your mum and brother aren't well, are they in Dubai? Wish you all the best with the next few weeks, good idea about taking it easy for an extra day, think I might do the same when it's my turn! x Sounds like they're devloping nicely nicecuppatea :) Good luck to you and TubeStrike for your retrievals. x

Hi girls! I'm in my first round of IVF too (at DGFC) and on day 14 of stimulation. I've been fine up until now but the last two days have been really uncomfortable, i feel like i've got a corset on after a big roast. I'm definitely ready to have the eggs taken out now!! Had my third scan this morning and a blood test so going in later today to find out when the retrieval will be - hopefully in the next two days :) The biggest was 20mm! Mine varied between 18 and 22mm when I had the retrieval so it sounds like you're there. I stopped the shots a day before the retrieval. Good luck. My stomach feels really tender, trying not to read too much into it. I also feel really tired but I don't know whether that's my brain trying to shut down as there is so much going on at the moment with this and my Mum and brother not being well. Am just going to laze on the sofa and cheer on Murray! x

That doesn't sound too bad, thanks - feel much less nervous now! Really hope your transfer went well today, did your doc tell you to stay in bed for a few days or can you carry on as normal? Did you see the embryos on screen? How are you feeling and when can you test?! Stimulation's ok thanks... although the doses are pretty high this time (I've done 3 x IUIs with injectables before this on lower doses). Been feeling ok just a bit tired and bloated, my husband does the injections, I'm too much of a wimp to do them myself :) Going for a scan tomorrow so am hoping my follicles have grown a bit more and we can do IVF this time Take it easy 71 x Morning Hope the scan goes well today... keep me posted. They transferred 3 yesterday- seeing them on screen was pretty emotional. I was told to take it easy yesterday but I am going to take it easy today also as want to be careful. Also my tummy is slightly tender, which I am, of course, hoping is a good sign. I have been told no *** or exercise for at least 12 days (implantation time). I was told no exercise in the whole stimulation phase so irrespective of whatever the outcome I am going to be fat! Good luck... x

I'm at DGFC in healthcare city - pretty happy with them, how about you? What was the egg retrieval like? I'm ridiculously nervous about it, my doc said I'll be sedated and 'asleep' but I'm still worried that the actual procedure itself will hurt...! Wish you all the best for tonight and tomorrow x PS Does the 71 stand for 1971? In that case we're roughly the same age too :-) I thought the retrieval was ok. Didn't know anything about the procedure itself due to sedation. Afterwards for me it was a bit like having a sore period but the next day I felt grand. Am sure you'll be fine too. How's the stimulation going? Are you injecting yourself? Thanks for your wishes. x (yes, 1971!)

Hello nicecuppatea. So lovely to hear from you :) How's it going for you and which clinic are you going to? I have had a pretty roller coaster time but if it works will be worth every moment of it. I have my transfer on Saturday. Apparently 4 eggs (out of the 8 retrieved) have fertilised and they were undergoing genetic testing today- results tomorrow night. Really, really hope it all goes well for you. x

yeah I did have success (got a beautiful little boy), and you will find many others on that website, who are going to Dr Fakih and all the IVF clinics in the UAE. Its great, most of my friends here in Dubai, I made through Dr Fakih's clinic. Infact one of my friends from there will be giving birth hopefully tonight :). He is very good and I wish you all the best. If you want you can email me, if you have any questions, or even just for a chat. It is nice talking to people who have gone are going through the same experience. Let me know if you want to exchange email.
