Parenting Styles To Help Prevent Your Baby From Crying

Quite a lot of crying that you would see in babies is actually preventable. Actually, by the way you parent, you can nip some of that crying in the bud.

The kind of style that anthropologists and psychologists have noticed over the years leads to low levels of crying. It's a very sensitive style of parenting, where you carry your baby around a lot with you.

They find that very soothing, and also it means that you can respond to their cues, you can sense if they're uncomfortable, you will feed them more frequently. So you're not waiting until they get hungry and they have to cry to you.

You've already fed them, so that doesn't become a problem. And if you sleep close to them, you don't get the frequent night time crying as well, because you can often, particularly if you're sleeping next to the baby in a crib next to your bed, you will sense that they move and you'll respond and feed them, or stroke them, or soothe them, before they rouse themselves up awake.

So there's quite a few ways that you can actually, just by your parenting style, mean that large bouts of crying just don't happen.
