I see the accusations of Lush supporting dodgy organisations have gone, thank goodness! I love Dream Cream. It feels lovely and I like the very slight smell of lavender.

I've been using Dream Cream on my DS1 since he was 3 days old, and now he's 2 yrs 7 months. He has eczema patches and dry skin. I usually buy Dream Cream from the Lush shop in DCC, or have ppl bring it from UK (much cheaper). BUT, my Ozzie friend suggested I get Bioderma Atopic cream (her kids have worse eczema than mine do) and not only is it cheaper than Dream Cream (the Dubai price) but it has made a big impact after 2 weeks of use. I have been SMITTEN by Lush! I like their eye makeup remover (Ultrabland), various night time face moisturizers, use their soap and shower gels and shampoo bars every day. I live right behind Mercato and am THRILLED they finally came to Jumeirah :0)

Bought some just a couple of days ago from the City Centre branch...nice...but pricey. Sophia, what sort of skin did you find the dream skin very good on? DD's got very dry skin and thought of getting it for her, but let it be as I was not sure.

i LOVE lush, didn't know they had it here. Nor did I... will be off on a scouting mission later this week as I love their bath bombs for a treat though what they'll fizz like in the water here is anyones guess as in W London's hard water they were impressive.

I love Lush too. Their Figs & leaves soap is particularly good specially if u have dry skin...they had another lovely soap called Banana Moon which they discontinued. I live in Jumeirah so happy to hear that Lush has a branch at Mercato too.

geez ladies, you are making me wish I had not shared my happiness about lUSH....I like it, I like the concept and so far, like what I have used. Dont shop in the UK so have no idea about prices, what they charge here is fine with me, I am not going to buy the shop :)..like all cosmetics, some work and some dont work, same with everything. It doesnt work for your skin, dont use it, if it does, use it. ;)...anyway, I like it :) Aww, sorry Sue for making u feel that way... should have mentioned that I love their stuff too!

Mrs Laughan replied : So is lush only available at Mercato There's only one other store here in Dubai and that's at Deira City centre opposite Virgin Megastore. Items are cheaper in the UK and in my opinion, the stores here don't seem to have understood the ethos behind the products and there is little of the vibe that I have experienced in Europe. On one of my visits to the Deira store, the shop assistant was smoking behind the counter! :\: edited by veganprincess on 05/02/2011

Funny we are all so different, I hate the smell of this shop it is just too overpowering for my nose! Me too - makes me feel quite sick. I also had a bad experience with a glitter-bath-bomb someone bought me when they first opened in the UK - I was still finding glitter in places I didn't want it months later! I had a bad experience with Lush too. Brought this honey and something face mask. To cut a long story short. I got stuck with a big layer of grease on my face which i couldnt remove. Had to put nail polish remover on my face in the end to get the grease from the face mask off. was so stressed out by this Perhaps you should stick to soap and water..... Don't seem to be to skilled with the old face creams :)

Hey Tanya :)...it seems were crossing paths :) I just looked at my bill from yesterday. I bar soap 120g - 30dhm ..now that is about 10 cents canadian, not expensive. Therapy bar .62dhm.. about .20 cents cdn and other things that I personally did not think were very expensive. You mean to say in the U.K. they are even cheaper than this? you can buy soap by the gram, which I do like as well as other things, so you buy what ytou need. anyway, I liked the shop very much, smell and all :) 30 dhm is not 10 cents....... is over 8$ Your right Izzy...oops lol

You may be thinking of the Hunt Retribution Squad and the Animal Liberation Front - both of which use full on (violent) direct action. and as far as I can see, LUSH does not support those.

I thought the prices of LUSH products in West Ed Mall were ridiculously high, too.

I always thought Lush is actually Canadian. Oh well, doesn't change the fact that in UK, the Lush staff is far, far more pleasant and knowledgeable. The stuff is far more reasonably priced too. I went to the store here at DCC and the staff was not helpful at all. PS: If you do a search on a previous Lush thread, someone actually wrote to them asking why they were so highly price here and they wrote back talking about rents and stuff.

Lush in Dubai is highly overpriced. I looked at an item online and had the price from the website. The branch at Deira City Centre inflated the price by x3!
