Oasis in Wafi Mall has been recommended to me several times when I've been looking for special occasion dresses so might be worth a look. I also quite like Monsoon but do find they don't seem to stock whole range in all shops so sometimes needs a bit of trek around. Or as everyone else has recommended find something you like and get tailor to make for you :)

There are loads of good tailors in Al Rigga too. Just after the clocktower.... Even more in the Naif area of Deira.

Make sure you leave plenty of time. Went to 5 tailors in Satwa today and couldn't get a (very simple) dress made in under 3 weeks ...

Maybe look on the net and find a picture of something you like, print it and take it to a tailor in Satwa to be made. They will tell you how much fabric, etc.

Hello! I'm looking for something to wear to a wedding event and I'd like to wear a dress.. but it's got to be modest; long and shoulders covered... for some reason I'd quite like something light and flow-y. I'm absolutely useless at "designing" stuff myself so would prefer somewhere I could buy something ready made; or maybe someone who'd be able to design something for me? Anyone got any suggestions for where I could find this special something? Thanks!
