I'm sure my bump will be beautiful. Sadly, it's the stretch marks, overhanging fat, saggy skin and hips that think they're pregnant too that don't look so nice! :D Lol :D I'm afraid that was me for all 3! I'd scare the sharks out of the water!

I have to admit I wore a regular BIKINI for my entire pregnancy, I swam every day and thought my big brown bump was beautiful!

Destination maternity have some swimwear if you're looking for specific maternity swimwear - I got some on sale last year and I can still wear it well enough (covers the squishy bits!).

Im 28 along and still wear a regular tankini. it seems quite roomy and looks like it might last another couple of months (although my bump seems to be on a determined growth mission at the mo :D). I got mine at marks and spencer. they sell seperates and i got a regular size bottom with a larger size top. that way i figure if it gets ruined i can replace the top for much later (figure it'll work even post partum till i'm back to size). I didnt find it easy to get maternity swimwear here, hence this route.

I got a great one at Mothercare when I was pregnant with my dd, it was very generous around the tummy so lasted me until the end! edited by alimart on 12/05/2011 Same here. I think I wore a normal one until about 4 or 5 months, but I didn't want to ruin it, and the mothercare ones are a bit more tailored to not expose any more midriff than you would do normally (mine also gave extra bust support, which was nice)

Try to find a longer one and you'll also find at the end of your pregnancy that it's well and truely stretched - so great for post-natal swimming but no good later on.

Yes it would although of course as your pregnancy progresses, the tankini top would start to rise up above your bump and not meet the bottoms any more. But if you're comfortable exposing your bump, I don't see that there would be a problem.
