I feel like all I do is rant but Im not sure whats going on but either my sense of smell is MASSIVELY heightened due to being pregnant or my air con in the whole house has gone stagnant!! It smeels so foisty and gross. My DH cant smell it and just thinks im paranoid but its making want to hurl. Anyone else had a really heightened sense of smell during pregnancy?

our house is exactly the same BabyBezza. We even had Saniservices come and do a full clean and paid 4,500 AED for it because of the smell. It has got better, especially in our bedroom - I couldn't even walk in there at the start when we first moved in, but since then the room is much better. The top of the stairs and the loungerm we have upstairs is gross though and smells exactly how you describe and DH can't smell it. :( I actually put on my FB status yesterday "think with this sensitive pregnancy nose I should go work at the airport". LOL

I swore blind I could smell the ice in the freezer, especially supermarket freezers!! Couldn't go near the things!!

Oh yes...smells that never usually bother me became absolutely stomach turning during pregnancy. Of course, there is a chance that your super sensitive nose is detecting a real problem with the AC. It probably wouldn't hurt to get someone to clean the filters thoroughly and check that all is well. :)

I am suffering from that as we speak:((( everything smells bad except for my beautiful DD! I have been like that for the past 3 months! i am at the end of the 1st trimester and it still has not stopped:((( I read that the smell of cinnamon and lemon help! good luck to both of us :((

lol! First pregnancy i cudnt smell anything... but second pregnancy i could smell my feet (which dh cudnt) and for some reason it was always bad smelling... how many times i dettoled my feet, hot water, creams, all of it... had great looking feet, but my nose wudnt agree. Thankfully (or unthankfully) i cant smell them now, now that dd is 7monhts old, and it shows at the state my poor feet are in. :)

Its just awful, I was debaing getting the maintenance people in to look at it but maybe DH is right and it is just me. Everytime it powers on I squirm cos it really bothers me. What a weird thing to develop during pregnancy!!

Yep, perfectly normal. First pregnancy, i found the smell of red meat cooking absolutely repulsive. Second pregnancy, broccoli - if DH was cooking broccoli then I could smell it the minute I walked in the door and no-one else could! I couldn't even look at broccoli and normally I love it. I could also smell a/c - horrible musty smell. I can't smell it now and gone back to liking broccoli!
