I used infacol which worked like magic. Without it, my son would be in a lot of pain after feeds.

My 3 month old responded VERY well to about an ounce of water and a tsp of sugar via bottle. Helps with gas, fussiness and constipation.

I can only agree with Daza. I did the same. I had to cut out certain foods such as dairy, oat, soya but it was really worth it, her wind problem was much better. I also tried Disfhlatyl, and it seemed to work a little better than the others.

Hi TDB I can't help with any medicine recommendations sorry but are you breast feeding your baby? My third baby was very sensitive to my diet especially when he was very young but I found that cutting out certain foods made a huge difference to how much wind he had and his general comfort levels. It was trial and error working out what disagreed with him and it was very limiting for the first few months but I was able to gradually introduce other foods to my diet when he got a bit older. I found I had to completely cut out wheat, onions, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower and soya as well as other things. I don't eat dairy anyway but assume this would have also upset him as he has a dairy intolerance. It was a pain but worth it as he was a much happier, settled baby once I had it sorted. Ignore me if your baby is bottle fed!

Colic Aid and Infacol is also available here in pharmacies. I never had luck with any of these things though. After I burp DS I now put him on his tummy and gently rub his back. Even if hes already burped this usually gets another one out.

After a stay in hospital at 4 months old, my DD suffered with chronic constipation and trapped wind in her colon. The only which helped us was Disphlatyl (you can find it at any pharmacy) and drops which was prescribed by a gastroenterologist! You can unfortunately only get it at The Dubai Herbal Treatment centre and is only meant to be used for severe cases of trapped wind. Try the Disphlatyl, I found it worked better than Infacol x
