Most pet relocating companies in Dubai charge ridiculous rates. My advice would be do it yourself. It is not that difficult. You do need Frontline tick and flea treatment. and worming. This is a...

We are going home for the summer and want to take our puppy with us and then bring him back Sept/ Oct we are baffled what to do, what we need and what sort of a crate he needs any help please

Chippy, that sounds about right for the EU health cert and yes, they can both go on the same cert. Only the municipality vets at cargo village can issue that. What the vets are quoting 150-225 for is possibly for the form that they need to complete which is required for the EU health cert. The EU Health Cert is definitely not that low.

We got quotes from both Alison and Riza for my 2 cats . Personal experience Riza was much better and considerably cheaper , and providing exactly the same service as Alison. We went with with Riza and had no regrets . Hi! Can you possibly let me have a contact for Riza as I'm having problems finding her on the web and would really like to use her for relocating our cats to Dubai! Thanks in advance!

Sorry for jumping on the band wagon but we are just about to do the same!! Have put a thread on here a few months ago, but thought I may as well respond to this thread instead..... We are moving back to the UK at the end of the month and taking our dog & cat. I have just met with Linda from Pet Express. She was also very reasonably priced compared to the likes of DKC! But all these pet relocators seem to vary in costs so much. Query I have though as she is doing the EU cert- for which she is charging 500dhs (could be for both animals but its down as one charge- waiting for confirmation) I have just been ringing round some vets and found out from them that they charge anywhere between 150-225dhs for the certificate. What has everyone else paid? Also the dog has to have a de-worming before he flies- the price for this also varies depending on which vets you go to. I rang 3 different vets and its either 36/ 50 or 80 dhs? On top of this you are charged for a medical examination (for the EU cert to be signed)- this varies from 80 dhs to 175 dhs for the consultation. Two of the vets told me the dog also needs Frontline tick & flea- yet one said he didn't?? Anyone have any advice?

Totally agree. Get a pet and have them for life. My little boy is a rescue cat and has now lived in 3 different countries and about to move to his fourth. Even though a hardship for me, he WILL be going with me.

Big love to your friend for doing the right thing by taking her pet back home with her!!!! <3 <3 As someone who is heavily involved in UAE animal welfare, it's a travesty to see the amount of pets that are literally abandoned in the streets (or locked up in empty villas) by owners who either haven't saved the money to take them back with them, or were never intending to. So, big kudos to your friend!! : )

we used Alison at Dubaidoghouse - she was excellent. we used her to clear coming into Dubai and she was excellent and because of that we used her to send back to the UK. The vets were well used to working with her too. this was almost 4 years ago now so not sure if she is still working there but if she is I would highly recommend her.
