Wow thank you SOOO much ladies, these have really helped me out. Just some general day to day life questions. How easy is it to get the following to deliver home/ provide services in Remraam; - takeaway -pharmacy -maids -laundry I can get most of these done quite easily in JVC which is soooo convenient, so need to mentally prepare for an it if a change if it's more difficult there. All the takeaways in Motorcity and DIP deliver here - so no issues there. We have a small Geant for day to day groceries and things. We also have a pharmacy in the community, as well as a coffee shop, dry cleaners and a barbers. There are other small shops and food outlets coming in the soon to be completed area by the mosque. Plenty of maid agencies come to the community, so no problem with that either.

My friend has just relocated to Remraam Al Ramth and so far loves it though she mentioned the [b'>mosque is very loud[/b'> (no disrespect just the fact). It is very peaceful as of now, not that many people live in her building BUT there is [b'>no garbage disposal chute[/b'> so you have to carry your own garbage down in the elevator and throw it in the huge metal containers in the parking lot (it was beyond hot and smelly there but completely doable), [b'>security was very relaxed[/b'>, they let everyone go everywhere in the building. The flat is lovely, it is new, modern with lovely views of the other yellow buildings. There was [b'>no pavement to the building yet[/b'> so I had to walk through sand but they were working on it so I am sure it will be done in no time. I could see from her window that [b'>parking was an issue for guests[/b'> as people simply double parked and locked others' cars in. There is also [b'>nothing there[/b'> apart from this community so you are very cut off, [b'>you'll have to drive everywhere[/b'>. Pros and cons like everywhere else I guess. My friend loves living there. It's been a week only though, I shall update when she moves beyond the few months line though it might not be relevant to you by then. The agent was very nice and decent: Farhat Abbas: (not sure if sharing phone numbers is okay here or not if it doesn't show email me at frankiedory77 at gmail dot com

You mean you've never seen people refer to AR as 'The Dark Side'? It's a joke! There's a friendly rivalry between the two sides.

Hi there... i live in Remraam, in Al Ramth. I love it there. I dont know why anyone would call Al Ramth the dark side. :) I would much rather pick Al ramth than Thammam. I have friends living in Thammam and the buildings are much older. And i just find it too busy, Ramth is peaceful at the moment. Although when all the new buildings open, it might be just as busy as the other side They have almost finished building tennis courts, football pitch and volleyball pitch at Ramth. Plus there is a gym meant to be opening in Ramth side, but no one is sure when that will actually open. They are also in the process of adding new parking in Ramth side. Also traffic is much easier to exit from Ramth if you leave around 7.30am. Coming from Thammam it can take a long time to get out during that peak time. i live on a podium level apartment with a big terrace and love having that extra space outside. didnt have any issues with the rain recently, but i do agree we do have some disrespectful neighbors who think our terrace is their ashtray  definitely join the facebook remraam groups to get more of a feel "Remraam" and "residents of remraam"

I live there and I'll answer some of your questions: 1) Is it better to live in Ramth or Thamam? Al Ramth is known as 'The Dark Side' lol - doesn't really matter, but you'll find that they tend to charge more for Al Thamam as it's completed, whereas there is still construction going on in AR. Both sides have pools - when they\re operational, but AT has the supermarket and other little shops, a basketball court and tennis courts. 2) What are the costs of electricity/ dewa/AC per month in a 2/3 bedroom apartment? I live in a 2 bed and it's around 500 dhs a month at the moment, including housing fee. Really depends on how much you use your AC. 3) What is the general vibe in the community? Are people happy there? erm I'd join one of the Remraam community groups. People always moan and complain about some thing. However, we do have some serious issues at the moment, with a severe lack of parking, some of us unable to use our parking sports due to leaks from the ceiling which has stripped our cars paintwork off, messy people, noisy people, people not disposing of rubbish, kids pooping in pools meaning the pools are out of action, complaints about pets - you know, the usual gripes about community living. 4) Which is the best floor to live on? Are there issues with living in the ground floor? Many people say avoid the top floor, as you can get a lot of noise from the rooftop ac units, plus the top floors are hotter - heat rises. Ground floor, depends if you like your stuff destroyed from people chucking cigarette butts all over the place. I suggest coming and having a look round, especially during prayer time, as (no disrespect intended), the mosque can be very loud at times, so if that would bother you, then there are certain buildings you'd need to avoid. 5) Does anyone know a good agent who deals with Remraam? None that I'd recommend - they're all sharks.

Hi ladies! I currently live in JVC, but am thinking of moving in a couple of months and wanted to know thoughts on Remraam. If anyone lives there, would you be able to answer any of these questions; 1) Is it better to live in Ramth or Thamam? 2) What are the costs of electricity/ dewa/AC per month in a 2/3 bedroom apartment? 3) What is the general vibe in the community? Are people happy there? 4) Which is the best floor to live on? Are there issues with living in the ground floor? 5) Does anyone know a good agent who deals with Remraam? Thank you sooo much!! I don't currently know anyone living there so any general advice would be much much appreciated!!
