Greenfield Community School Dubai Open Morning

An International Baccalaureate (IB) World Continuum School, GCS is one of only a handful of schools in the world authorised to offer all four IB programmes.  They are also accredited by the Council for International Schools (COIS) and by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Greenfield Community School is a co-educational school for students from KGs to Grade 12 (ages 4 to 18 years) and the student body encompasses over 80 different nationalities.

Celebrating their 10th Year in Dubai, 2017 saw the highest IB Diploma results ever with two students out of the graduating class achieving 40 points for their Diploma Programme examinations. This places them in the top 5% of the DP candidates internationally. They are also the first school in the UAE to have opened two Mindfulness Rooms for students and staff.

GCS students have been accepted into some of the world’s most prestigious colleges and universities including: University of Amsterdam; University of Bonn; University of Edinburgh, University of Nottingham, University of Portsmouth; Georgia Institute of Technology; George Washington University; University of Groningen; University of Chester, Bocconi Italy and University of Windsor to name a few.

Programmes

Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3 -12 years, is designed to build upon the natural curiosity of the child.  The PYP ensures that the learning is significant, relevant, engaging and challenging so that the children can reflect on the connections between life at school, life at home, and life in the world.

Middle Years Programme (MYP)
The MYP, intended for ages 11-16 years, is designed to help adolescents to develop knowledge of, and interest in, local and global issues. The explicit emphasis on communication and intercultural awareness encourages international-mindedness and responsible citizenship.

Diploma Programme (DP)
The DP, intended for ages 16-19 years, is a comprehensive and challenging pre-university course that demands the best from motivated students. The DP has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities. It is also an internationally recognised alternative to UK A Levels, the German Abitur and other university entrance level examinations.

IB Career-related Programme (IBCP)
The IBCP, intended for ages 16-19 years, specifically addresses the needs of students who wish to engage in career-related, vocational education. It provides ‘real life experiences’ as part of a challenging academic course of study with activities such as work placements, setting up and running a small business, community and service (CAS) and more. We also offer the UK based, BTEC (Business and Technical Education Council) Level 3 qualification which meets many university entry requirements.

GCS supports the IB philosophy of maintaining the student's mother tongue language.
