KHDA will not be carrying out Dubai schools inspections for the academic year 2024-2025

There will be no full school inspections in Dubai for the scholastic year 2024-2025, except for new private schools that will be in their third year of operation during the academic year, announced the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in a recent circular.
Dubai schools typically undergo annual inspections, of which they'll receive new ratings based on a specific set of criteria. The final inspection results for that year range from the highest rating, 'Outstanding', to the lowest, 'Weak'.

Can Dubai schools still undergo inspection?
While KHDA won't be carrying out full school inspections next year, but private schools can still submit a request for an inspection to the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB). The request must be submitted by Friday July 5, 2024.
Schools whose inspection requests have been approved will be notified during Term 2 of the 2024-2025 academic year.
Ongoing monitoring for Dubai schools
DSIB will be conducting other visits that target specific focus areas of the school and include ongoing monitoring activities.
"Schools will be notified ahead of time on the areas of focus and priorities for the next academic year," stated the KHDA circular.
All Dubai schools are required to routinely update the Self-Evaluation Form as well as its online profile throughout the 2024-2025 scholastic year.
Schools also must maintain the practice of conducting all essential external benchmark assessments.
As of now, there are no news regarding Dubai school inspections for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Dubai schools can raise their fees depending on their most recent assessment from the DSIB.
