Hi Choco Chops.
I can't address your question directly. All I can say is I know it can be very difficult and unsettling when one is faced with a new diagnosis. Do not despair! Search online for support groups/ organizations, search online for good books on the subject, and read and educate yourself. You are going to be your own best ally.
Also it is very important to find an excellent doctor who will have compassion and interest in caring for people with chronic conditions. If you search this forum under "thyroid", "Diabetes", or "endocrinologist" you will see many threads and a number of doctors recommended. I personally see Dr. Amel El- Tayeb at The Diabetes and Endocrine Center, Health Care City. 04 375 2345.
Always stay positive and surround yourself with positive people who love you no matter how you feel. HTH and hugs to you. I don't have Addisons but have a different endocrine condition, am happy to chat xx.
Hi, just wondering if anyone out there has, or knows someone with this condition, would love to chat about life, doctors etc
Would also be grateful for recommendations of a good endocrinologist
Thanks
