Am in Bur Dubai, the sunshine just makes the gray shroud of sands glow brighter and the wind makes my struggling bougainvillea dance uncontrollably on the balcony! I am just glad I am not outside :) We're down in the consulate area-it realy isn't that windy-must be sheltered perhaps? Perhaps, I am on a high rise by the Burjuman, and judging by my bougainvillea, they have been kow-towing to the winds non-stop :( It's a good thing they are flexible :)

Doesn't seem as windy in the Greens as yesterday but it may just be a slight change in direction as we look into the gap between buildings. Tied up the windchimes yesterday as they were driving me mad and I think my neighbour in the next block lost most of their washing off the airer... some is still on the floor but a lot headed off towards the pool!

In the last sand storm somebodys door (yes a whole door) landed on our carport. It is still there, so let's hope enough wind picks up today to move it. What you didn't get a maid to move it? she tried but she fell off the ladder. Now the ladder is broken and maid is deep shlit

grrr... another day where I'll have to walk around wrapped up like a Bedouin! Had a face full of dust yesterday coming back from the school run. I'll never complain about weather int he UK again! lol That was free exfoliation for you. Had you gone to a salon you would have paid hundreds of dirhams for the same treatment.. :D

I Live in the marina and was just out on my balcony and a big piece of metal flew off our roof and missed a car by a centimetre. It was about 3 metres in length and would have done some serious damage. Took 2 big butch men to pick up the metal as it was that heavy.

We're in Springs 1 and can normally see the towers of JLT and the Marina from our lounge window. I can't see anything but the trees in the garden! And DH expects me to walk the dogs with the wee man in his buggy....pfffft. as our gazebo and garden furniture is currently dancing about on the lawn, i wouldnt be taking the wee man in his buggy anywhere! He'll end up flying half way to sharjah....
