Hi y'all. I've recently signed up with Aramex Shop and Ship. Has anybody used this service to ship from US to UAE? Any opinions or reviews? According to the website rate calculator, it appears that anything 1lb and under costs AED 41. Is that correct? First time poster, long time forum-stalker. Thanks in advance!

I use Shop and Ship a lot for my hard to find stuffs. The trick for consolidation is to have your packages sent at the same time or maybe a difference of a day. That way they will forward it on the same flight and the weight will be automatically consolidated as oppose to being sent separately and charge 41AED for the 1st half kg. for every package. Hope it helps. Thanks, Tweety; it does.

Thanks for the additional info, busybee2. I would have thought they would have bundled everything together. Glad I asked. The website price listing is AED 41 for the first half kilo and an additional AED 32 for every half kilo after. If anyone is interested, here are the country rates: http://www.shopandship.com/ship/countries-rates.aspx. Still looking for a better mail/package forwarding option, though, if anyone has found an alternative.

Thanks in advance! yes that rights, although i thought the first half was 32 or something then it went up to 41. loads of people use it but make sure that you only buy from one seller as they will ship in separate parcels etc and so pay more than necessary
