WTF!
I called and booked a taxi at 6:45, knowing it would take an hour or two because it is a Friday night and that's pretty typical, But when i called him just now (8:45) to ask for an updated estimate he said "two hours?! why didn't you call to inquire after 15 or 30 minutes? After 45 minutes we assume you no longer need a taxi and cancel it".

But But But... What?!

Do you mean you booked for "next available" and they said 2 hours? We always choose the option for "later today", even if it's only 15 mins later, and haven't been let down yet, give or take 10 mins here and there.... Yes I picked next available but no they didn't say two hours, they just said we're very busy, but we'll send one right away" I just assumed that meant two hours.

We click the next available - don't speak to anyone,it's all automated.. Bl00dy clever though - onetime we wanted two and we didn't know how so we did one normally from house phone and then teen ordered one on his mobile..they straight away said we had already ordered one !! Lol can't outsmart them !! Hrm... Maybe they cancelled mine when the maid called hers? Hope they didn't cancel hers when I got mine.

Yes I ordered next available, but asking for one at a specific time is a good tip. I was just ready to tear my hair out. Then he called and said I'll be there in ten minutes Madame. Sure enough 24 minutes pass with no word, so I call him back and ask where he is and he says "I'm outside". "well why didn't you call me or ring the doorbell??!l" no answer. But it's not quite over yet... I walk outside and the maid is sitting in the taxi. Turns out she ordered one 45 minutes early and thought this was hers. We checked which name it was under and luckily it was mine. I said "sorry, any other night and I'd give it to you, but you're on your own this time! Oh and you better call and confirm yours because after 45 mins they cancel." lol what a night.

Ypu should always call them after 15 mins or so if they are not there plus book for earlier than you need and you may get it about right. ;)
