Any recommendations please for nanny agencies - internationally based. Did a google search and it seems overwhelming so don't know where to start. Not the Dubai maid agencies; looking for a fully qualified western trained au pair / nanny. And how to go about sponsorship? TIA

HI, I will now stand absolutely corrected on this..but basically, from what I have gotten from my research re au pairs is that they are not officially employed, they get more 'pocket money' and they are there to so chores mind kids and also learn english/other language in country they are based. Nanny on the other had is/should be trained to look after kids/babies etc. As far as visas go in Dubai, unfortunately im no further on that u are, but what I would be thinkin would be that as the au pair is not 'working' as such, but more on pockety money, that they may be there in tourist visa??? as i said, Im prob completely worng on that part, but the pocket money part for au pairs im sure of. My brother in law and his wife have a french au pair in ireland, they have 3 small kids and they girl does some housework too (obviously not scrubbin), they work out a schedule whereby she babysits 1-2 night.week as well. they pay her €400 per month (which is the minimum...and to be honest I think is a bit mean..but then again, thats the deal so they are thrilled!! :) I hope thats all some help. Im tryin to sort au pair myself for sep 2012 and therefore tryin to figure out the whole dxb visa etc. goodluck :)
