Hey there,

I am in search for a really good and reliable Gynecologist in Dubai. We are planning for our first baby and wanted some advice and requistive steps to be taken before trying.

Will any of you be able to help me out? :)

I have been consulting with Dr. Vidula Sharma from Healer's Medical Center in Abu Shagara, Sharjah since past 9 years. She has done the infertility treatment of my cousin and my cousin got pregnant within 4 to 5 months of getting treated by her. Her cycle was monitored and treatment was done at the correct time. My cousin just delivered 2 months back in Zulekha Hospital. Its a healthy baby girl. All thanks to Dr. Vidula Sharma. (Specialist Gynecologist & Obstetrician) I live in Dubai so i consult with Dr. Vidula at her clinic HMC Medical Center in Detroit House, Motor City, Dubai. Kudo's to the HMC Team :)

Dr Janaki Gopalan, Welcare. She's not the sweet-talking types, but is really good at her work.

Dr. Luthra took care of me with my first and second pregnancy. I can highly recommend her. She's at Medcare Al Wasl. However, she is not everyone's cup of tea. If you are sensitive and it is of high importance to you to be heard of, then you might find it difficult to deal with her. On the otherhand, if you are looking for somebody who is well experienced, professional and could command well in terms of emergency & distress, then I could say that I had seen her capabilities with two difficult deliveries I had. She's very strict in weight gain and I personally think it is for the right reasons. I've almost had C-section but she tried hard to get them out normally. I must say I am thankful for that.

Dr babita shetty and NMC hospital al nahda Dubai I went to her for both my pregnancies and she was winderful I had a little bit of a difficult pregnancy but she managed it all well. I second that. She is very good and thorough and always available in the ER if you need her. My only gripe is that she will insist on an episiotomy if it is your first child.

Dr Rajalakshmi at American Hospital - my personal experience plus a number of friends experience with her has been great. Just difficult to book her at a short notice, especially when you are not (yet) pregnant.

In the past I had a wonderful Indian gynecologist who then moved hospitals - Dr Luthra. From what I hear she is now at Medcare, but she had already left my hospital when I was pregnant and so I could not comment on what she is like for pregnancy.
