........ Vitamin E is good for scars, and you should get the liquid capsules and break them and use the pure vitamin E oil in them to rub into your scar.......... Someone has mentioned this to me before. :) Can i just pick it up from any pharmacy? Does Body Shop do Vitamin E oil? And it is pure vitamin E? Body Shop does do it. Both my brother and I have used it on scars and would highly recommend it.

Bump to see if anyone else has opinion on this product? By the way, if you use this, what do you use it for? moisturing face? for scar, etc? I swear by this fabulous product! I had a very nasty scratches and cat bite ( bitten by my own beloved cat whilst trying to break a cat fight...stoopid I know!) cut long story short, I used bio-oil on my hand religiously and slowly I noticed the scar faded. No more ugly scratched marks and scar is not visible my hand is as good as new!!

DS had a horrible scar on his cheek. I massaged the oil in 3 x daily and saw no change for 2 months, then all of a sudden it worked. now the scar is hardly visible.

I use bio oil more as a mousturiser (as i suffer from very odd patch dry skin near my eyes, and this works wonders! I also put it in the bath to give my skin a moisture boost!) However, ive not had overly great sucess with scars, it does help but doesnt get rid of it 100%. Vitamin E is good for scars, and you should get the liquid capsules and break them and use the pure vitamin E oil in them to rub into your scar. My mum had/has a scar areound the front of her neck that made her look a little like frankenstein, bit the Vit E worked wonders on it, even the texture! Rb x Oops, posted before commenting. I second the above. I got chicken pox at age 30 and had some horrible scars on my face and body. I got pute Vit E oil and massaged that in twice a day and they disappeared completely. I do use bio oil now though - occasionally when my face feels it needs that extra boost of moisture. I find if I use it too much too long though I get a feeling of chemicals on my face rather than something natural and soothing. Might be mind over matter, but thought I'd throw that in. It's not that expensive, so give it a try. edited by Buy me a Pony on 20/01/2011
