To the 'Western-looking' couple driving down Emirates Road this afternoon with a child on your lap in the front seat of a convertible WITH THE TOP DOWN: if you are reading this, it may interest you to know that sharing a seat belt does not protect your child. If someone were to hit you from behind, you would jerk forward and squash them. That is the reason they give you additional seat belts on an aeroplane when travelling with children.
PS: I noticed your child's nice pink bike was securely fastened with a seat belt in the back seat. Glad to see you have your priorities right.
