Great thanks for the info everyone! Why is it only JLT that doesn't offer chill fees? 300-500 per month is that with the AC switched on constantly or are you pretty good at turning it on and off?

Hi, Can anyone help and advise me on the approximate monthly costs of DEWA and Chiller for 1 bed apartment (1000square ft)? much appreciated! Housing is 5% of your annual rent ( Paid monthly) Chiller fees are around 300-500 per month for JLT, I am just waiting on a friend replying who lives there regarding the DEWA amount

thanks for both replies! I wasn't aware of the housing fee, it will be our first independent apartment as we have been in a serviced apartment up until now so we aren't sure of what bills will cost. From speaking to others the cost seems to vary between 500aed to much higher. We have found the perfect place but we are struggling to communicate effectively with the agent that is in charge of the property. We have come to learn that JLT does not offer chiller free! We haven't seen a contract as of yet as we have not officially committed and the landlord keeps changing his mind on what he wants!!

I've recently moved into quite a big 1 bed (1400 sq ft) and my DEWA bills are huge (I think), without any consumption, the fixed amount (Housing fee and Sewerage) is AED 642. My last bill including consumption was AED 865. Can't advise on chiller as LL hasn't got around to dealing with that yet.

Dont forget the 'Housing Fee' is added to the Dewa bill too so it really depends on the size and rental value. My Dewa bill is around 500 aed including the housing fee for a one bed but we live in a building where the chiller is covered by the service charge so we just pay for the electricity to have the chiller switched on.
